When you book me as your Nothern Virginia family photographer, the goal is to make the whole experience as smooth and stress-free as possible for everyone involved. My welcome guide walks you through everything your family needs to know going in, and I'm happy to help you style everyone from head to toe so you're not spending the week before your session overthinking outfits.
During your session, I work to get a great mix of posed and candid moments so your final gallery feels complete. You might be surprised how many families come in set on posed photos and end up absolutely loving the natural, in-between shots just as much. I'll guide you through both so you walk away with a gallery full of variety that truly tells your family's story. And if your kids want to tell me their worst jokes or make their silliest faces at the camera, I am absolutely here for it because some of the best genuine smiles come from the most unexpected moments.
When it comes to location, I have a collection of favorite spots across Northern VA that I love for family sessions and I'm happy to choose one for you or give you a few options to pick from based on your family's style and the season. From your very first inquiry to the moment your gallery is delivered, I've taken care to make every step of working with a family photographer in Northern Virginia feel easy, personal, and completely worth it. I'm a Northern Virginia family photographer and fellow mom who knows that getting everyone dressed and smiling at the same time is basically an Olympic sport. Family sessions with me are relaxed, fun, and a little unpredictable in the best way possible. The genuine laughter, the spontaneous hugs, the in-between moments you didn't even know were happening. That's honestly where the magic lives.
I have had the absolute joy of watching so many Northern Virginia families grow over the years, and there is nothing I love more than being your photographer for every single season. I cannot wait to meet your family and capture all of it.

The Process
Every session starts with a conversation. Reach out and let's start talking about what you're looking for in a Northern Virginia family photographer. Tell me about yourself, your husband, your kids, your pets! Do you have a vision in mind? The more information you can provide me at the beginning, the easier planning will be. We'll find a good date and location for your session, and we will get you officially scheduled on my calendar. (Date and location can be set in stone after booking as well, if necessary.)

After you've officially scheduled your session, we will start the planning process. We will go over your outfit choices for the entire family and the location for your session if we haven't already picked a place.
Do you want to include your furry family member? Now is the perfect time to talk about it! Your family session is customizeable to meet your own family's needs and desires for your photos!
Planning Your Session
When you hire me as your family photographer, I am at your disposal. Ask me anything. I want your session to go as smoothly as possible when the time comes. But I also want to be supportive in any way that I can be. Honestly, no topic is off limits! I am here to support you and to help you.
Keeping In Touch
A few days prior to our session, I'll reach out to confirm our time and location. This is a great time to ask any last minute questions or discuss any ideas you may have for your session. We will meet at the location where I will be ready to capture your family's now!
We will go through your session at your pace. I schedule sessions with enough wiggle room to allow for breaks, so don't be afraid to speak up if you or the kids need one. I don't want you to worry about a thing! You are going to knock this out of the park!
Your Family Session
We made it through your session, and you can check your yearly family photos off your "to do" list. You can expect to receive your session gallery within four weeks of your session, but I always try my best to get them back to you sooner. I know how anxious you are to see the photos. Once you've marveled at how fabulous your family looks, you will have the opportunity to select your included digital images as well as purchase any additional digitals and print products through your private online viewing gallery.
Your Photographs
Average MDP client investment is $800
Time goes by way too fast! If you're looking to make some memories of your family in this season of life, you're in the right place. After all, memories and pictures are all we have of times gone by!
We'll spend up to about an hour together making memories at a location that we will choose together. Your session includes 25+ digital images and an 8x10 float wrap w/ stand to proudly display in your home. Extended family sessions also available.
You'll receive guidance leading up to your session on what to wear, how to prepare, and what to expect. As your Northern Virginia family photographer, I'll be available every step of the way to assist you in any way I can to make sure you're prepared for your big day!

Are you ready to document your family with me on a regular basis? Let's do this! As a Northern Virginia family photographer, I offer custom bundles where you can combine two, three, or four sessions into one package! The more you book, the more you save! I love working with clients to give them exactly what they want, and these bundles are the way to go! And these bundles are automatically placed on a monthly payment plan to help spread out the investment!
