3 Alexandria Midwives That Will Support You Through Your Pregnancy Journey

Del Ray Midwifery

Del Ray Midwifery is not a doula agency or big box birth center; it is intimate, one-on-one Alexandria midwife support tailored to the unique desires of each family they serve. They provide parents with everything they need to have a safe, educated, and empowered birth experience. Additionally, services include complete prenatal care, including visits that are 45 minutes long. Furthermore, visits can include your family, care, and support through home births, postpartum home visits, and breast/chestfeeding support.

They do not take any insurance, but you can pay in monthly payments. Additionally, the midwives will help you navigate your insurance to see if you qualify for reimbursement. You can head to their website to schedule your first virtual or in-person office visit today.

The Physician and Midwife Collaborative Practice

Physicians and Midwives is a unique collaborative practice you won’t find anywhere else. They have five offices for your convenience all across northern Virginia. This Alexandria midwives practice is here to care for you and, most importantly, listen to you for all your needs. Additionally, the Physician and Midwife Collaborative Practice consists of physicians, midwives, and nurse practitioners who specialize in providing obstetrical and gynecological care.

You can get your labs done, take a peek at your baby on the state-of-the-art sonograms, and with 24/7 care, this Alexandria Midwife has all your needs covered in one spot. Furthermore, their goal is to provide competent and compassionate care that empowers their moms while maintaining the highest medical standards.

Lastly, they are open Monday through Friday, and you can book the appointment right online.

BirthCare Beginnings

Starting in 1992, Birth Care Alexandria has provided at-home birth services and OBGYN care. They are an accredited birth center. In addition to the midwives, birth assistants are essential to your birthing team. Some of the birth assistants are nurses, childbirth educators, doulas, herbalists, and even massage therapists! Once you meet your midwives and birthing team, you can choose to give birth at home or at the Birth Care Alexandria Birth Center.

The Birth Center offers a labor and birthing area with two private rooms. The rooms have access to a large jetted jacuzzi tub, helping many moms relax during labor. Birth Care Alexandria specializes in

  • prenatal care,
  • out-of-hospital births,
  • infant care, breastfeeding and parenting support,
  • gynecological care,
  • family planning,
  • midwifery care.

The office is open Monday through Friday and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. You can log on every other Tuesday for a virtual interactive information session to learn more and ask questions.
